Grout Injection into Steel

By Chris on 22-08-2019

Injecting polyurethane grout into steel is not as common as concrete injection, however it can still yield great results. The biggest difference being an injection port instead of a traditional packer. This port was created by first welding a threaded coupler near the leaking area. A magnetic drill was then mounted over the coupler to create access to the void (leaking) area. Once the hole was drilled, a ball valve was attached to the coupler. A mixing tube was then threaded into the ball valve, which ultimately connected to the pump. SealGuard II grout was used in this injection to stop the infiltration.
